The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.
SASSA might be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed about the significant variety of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This really is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area each day. The provider position made for intervention activities a significant inflow SRD of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it hard to the office to attend to all people who check out a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to permit the servicing of all buyers and maximize access to Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
